We have a great event coming up on May 5th - Improv as a Path to Openness and Aliveness with Shannon Hughes. Here is an invitiation from Shannon and hope to see you there!

We’ll come together as a collective of storytellers and creative women to take improv theater off the stage and into the Feeling Inspired Circle at Metta Yoga!

Open your heart to "Yes, and..." through an experiential workshop filled with games, exercises and lively discussion around the impact of key improv principles to life, community and business.

As Keith Johnstone, a pioneer of improvisational theater says, “There are people who prefer to say 'yes' and there are people who prefer to say 'no'. Those who say 'yes' are rewarded by the adventures they have. Those who say 'no' are rewarded by the safety they attain.”

Let’s choose to discover the power of “yes” together!

May 5, 4pm-5:45pm

Metta Yoga in Corte Madera

Fee: $20 (paid to @shughes76 via Venmo or shanihughes@gmail.com via PayPal in advance of the event, please)

A bit about Shannon:

Shannon is a Bay Area native who recently swapped her career on the corporate stage for the return to an artistic one.  After almost 20 years supporting global clients with their brand and marketing needs, she resigned to embark on a new life track filled with creative adventure.

Since then, she has written and performed three solo shows in Oakland and San Francisco, pursued training as a voice actor, and has published a handful of essays through Medium. Most recently, Shannon launched a business bringing improv-inspired learning into business and community, claiming that “practicing the principles of improv off the stage can literally change our world.”
